CCP Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary
KANSAS CITY, MO, February 23, 2010 – Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) celebrated
their 20 year anniversary as a company on February 9, 2010. CCP was formed out of a jointventure
partnership between Total Chimie of Paris, France and the Cook Paint and Varnish
Company of North Kansas City, Missouri.
CCP is an industry leader to the coatings and composites markets. They have participated in the
purchase or joint-venture partnerships of approximately 12 manufacturing and distribution
companies over their 20 year history. These alliances continue to strengthen the company through
product innovation; industry commitment and the educational leadership CCP is known for today.
There have been many highlights since CCP’s inception, but some of the most recent are:
recognition in the area of “green” chemistry development, having received the 13th Annual
Presidential Green Chemistry Award administered by the EPA in 2009. To further promote
education in the industry, CCP opened the doors to a new technology training center in 2007.
This facility supports the education of CCP customers, employees, and other professionals with
industry related topics in both a classroom and hands-on environment. Many of the classes have
been formed from their well known Applications Guide (Cook Book), now in the 11th edition.
This valuable resource publication has served the industry for many, many years.
