In 2002, CCP entered into the North American Powder Coating Resins business.

Powder coating resins are used in the manufacture of a variety of products that call for the protection, durability, and appearance of electrostatically-applied powder coatings. These include automotive, appliance, architectural, lawn and garden, and general industrial manufacturing.

CCP's new business unit offers a complete range of functional polyester powder coatings resins, including specialty resins and additives. Our company is now uniquely positioned to provide coatings manufacturers with a full spectrum of both liquid and solid grade resins. Powder resin technologies include:

  • TGIC Systems
  • Primid®
  • Hybrid
  • Polyurethane/Glycoluril
  • UV Cured Powder
  • Superdurables
  • Additives for Powder Paints

CCP powder resins bring to the U.S. marketplace environmentally friendly technologies developed in Europe by CCP's TOTAL-associated company, Cray Valley. Patterned on the success of Resisa/Cray Valley, based in Sant Celoni, Spain, this newest facet of CCP's business supports our company's goal to become a complete supplier to the coatings industries, applying a global approach, global resources, a long-range commitment, and the best of new technologies to coatings customers' needs.

CCP's new Powder Coatings Resin manufacturing facility is designed with an eye to the future. Our new facility is able to meet current demands, and is continually expanding for future production requirements. It represents a 13-million-dollar capital investment and includes a state-of-the-art synthesis laboratory and application equipment. The new powder plant is on the same site as company headquarters and CCP's new pilot plant in Kansas City.
